"Laid Back" Sweepstakes Official Rules

OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

1. ELIGIBILITY: OFFERED ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (“U.S.”) VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Employees, officers and directors of NATIONAL WILDLIFE FEDERATION (“NWF”) and the immediate family members (spouses and parents, children and siblings and their spouses, regardless of where they live) or members of the same households (whether related or not) of such employees, officers and directors (collectively, “Sweepstakes Entities”) are not eligible. Sweepstakes Entities reserve the right to verify, in their sole judgment, winner eligibility. Sweepstakes Entities are committed to a strict Privacy Policy. All applicable federal, state, and local rules apply. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited or restricted by law.

2. TO ENTER: “Vanishing Paradise Fishing Adventure Sweepstakes” presented by National Wildlife Federation (“Sweepstakes”) begins at 9:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on September 12, 2011. The final date for submitting entries is 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time, February 29, 2012. To enter, visit www.vanishingparadise.org to access the Sweepstakes entry page, complete the online entry form and submit so that it is received by Sweepstakes Entities server(s) by 11:59 PM ET February 29, 2011. Limit one entry per person. By entering, participants warrant and represent that they agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the final decision of the Sweepstakes Entities.

3. RANDOM DRAWING – PRIZES – ODDS OF WINNING: On or about March 31, 2012, the National Wildlife Federation will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries received to award the following prize:

• One Grand Prize consisting of transportation for two (2) people from anywhere within the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (“U.S.”) for a two (2) day fishing trip with Laid Back Charter. Meals and two nights’ accommodation provided by Laid Back Charter. The total Prize Value is estimated at $5,000.00.
  Winners will be notified by email, phone, postal mail and/or express mail at Sweepstakes Entities’ sole discretion. Inability to contact a winner or the return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in the prize being forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries. Grand Prize winner will be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release or an alternate winner may be selected. No prize transfer or cash redemption. No prize substitution, in whole or in part, except by NWF due to prize unavailability, in which case a prize of comparable or greater value will be awarded. Odds of winning will be determined by the number of eligible entries received.

4. GENERAL: Taxes on prizes and all expenses including but not limited to the cost of any required shotgun and steel shells, non-resident hunting license, both federal and non-resident Louisiana State Duck Stamps and any other expenses related to acceptance and use of prizes and not specified herein are the sole responsibility of winners. By participating, entrants agree [a] to these rules and decisions of Sweepstakes Entities, which shall be final in all respects relating to this Sweepstakes; [b] to release, discharge and hold harmless Sweepstakes Entities from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind resulting from their participation in the sweepstakes or their acceptance, use or misuse of prize including, without limitation, personal injury, death and property damage; and if a winner, © to permit Sweepstakes Entities to use his or her name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, voice likeness, city and state address, for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in all media, including but not limited to on air and within www.NWF.org and www.vanishingparadise.org, in perpetuity, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) and agree to execute specific consent to such use upon request. By Sweepstakes Entities, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, agents and representatives and the officers, directors and employees of each are not responsible for and shall not be liable for [a] telephone malfunctions, human error, [b] electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind, including without limitation, server malfunction or by any human error which may occur in the processing of entries; © failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions; [d] late, lost, misdirected or incomplete entries or postage-due mail; or [e] any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Sweepstakes Entities may cause the promotion to be disrupted or corrupted. Sweepstakes Entities reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Sweepstakes or any portion thereof should virus, bugs or other causes beyond the control of Sweepstakes Entities corrupt the administration or security of the promotion, in which case prizes will be awarded via a random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation. Entry information becomes property of NWF. Internet entry must be made by the entrant only at an authorized web address. Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. Sweepstakes Entities reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entry at any time in the event it is determined that the entrant has not complied with these Official Rules. This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

5. WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND HOLD HARMLESS: In consideration for receiving a prize related to the sweepstakes: “Vanishing Paradise Grand Giveaway”, the winning party (hereinafter referred to as the “Winners”) hereby RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE, National Wildlife Federation, their officers, agents, servants, or employees (hereinafter referred to as Sponsor) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the Winner, or any of the property belonging to Winner, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE Sponsor, or otherwise, arising from participation in the contest or receipt or use of the contest prize.

6. ENTRY INFORMATION: Please note that by entering this Sweepstakes and by checking the “opt-in” boxes on the entry form for this promotion, you are [a] agreeing that the Sweepstakes Administrator may share your entry information (including your name, address, email address, etc.) with our promotional partners and other parties; and [b] granting us permission to contact you about our upcoming events, promotions or for other reasons.
