Meet the Crew: Ben Weber

The newest member of Vanishing Paradise’s outreach team describes himself as “addicted to chasing redfish in skinny water” and has spent much of his life doing just that in every Gulf state from Florida to Texas.
This disappearance of the delta is particularly close to Ben’s heart as he grew up in Ascension Parish, LA and and spent vacations on a family fishing camp near Leeville, where he witnessed the loss of marshlands firsthand.
Before joining Vanishing Paradise, Ben coordinated outreach on the oil spill for the National Wildlife Federation. Ben is making sure that his love of fishing spans the generations—his 18-month old daughter already has her own rod and reel.
